Ty Swartz, MBA, CPP, USN Ret. is an internationally recognized and award-winning Certified Professional Photographer specializing in High School Senior portraits. He grew up in Greenville, Ohio and was encouraged to grow as a photographer by his high school English and Art teachers along with his mentor Master Photographer Ted Grote.
Ty joined the U. S. Navy in 1991 and traveled to over 64 countries as a photojournalist telling the stories of our countries servicemembers. Ty retired from the Navy in 2011 and transitioned into teaching photography, marketing, and Adobe Creative Cloud to high school students and professional photographers.
In 2003, Ty graduated from Southern Illinois University with a Bachelor's of Science in Workforce, Education, and Development and started to develop photographic education training. After retiring, Ty earned a Master Business Administration in both Project Management and Marketing from Brenau University and Postgraduate Teaching License from Regent University. He currently teaches for Virginia Beach City Public Schools as a Graphic Communications educator teaching Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro software along with Photography and video production.
Ty is married to Nicole and has three children Andrew, Tristian, and Dylan.
As a storyteller, Ty recognizes that he has a blessed life as a professional photographer with many experiences and stories to tell. His motto is life is a journey one adventure at a time.
